Commander Natalie Dragovich presents check to Mayor Jan Segatto

During the June Orient City Council Meeting, the Orient City Park received a very generous donation from the Orient American Legion Post 1961. Commander Natalie Dragovich presented a check in the amount of $12,000 to be used in the construction of a new park pavilion.

The pavilion will be dedicated in remembrance of US Navy Veteran Louise Fravell.

Louise was born March 2, 1930 in Orient, Illinois to Roy and Ruby (Isaacs) Fravell. She was a life-long resident of Orient. Louise was retired from the US Navy with the rank of E7. She was a Charter Member of the American Legion Post 1961 of Orient, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1961 of Orient, and WAVES National of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
