Request a Rental Property Inspection
The City of Orient requires inspections of non-owner-occupied residential rental properties in accordance with the City's Rental Inspection Ordinance.
Before water, sewer, and trash service can be established or restored to a non-owner-occupied rental property, the property must successfully pass the required rental inspection and be in compliance with the Rental Inspection Ordinance. Property owners are encouraged to request inspections well in advance of a new tenant moving in to avoid delays in utility service.
To request an inspection, complete the form below. Once your request has been received, the City Codes Administrator or a designated representative will contact the person listed on the form to schedule the inspection.
Inspection Fee: $50.00
The inspection fee is due at the time of the inspection.
Submitting this form is only a request and does not schedule an inspection. An appointment must be confirmed by the City.

If violations are identified, the property owner will receive a list of deficiencies that must be corrected. Once the required corrections have been completed, a reinspection may be required before a Certificate of Compliance can be issued and the property is considered compliant with the ordinance.
